Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dokyo ("the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

Dokyo is a collaborative workspace application for creating documents, databases, and shared knowledge. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the service.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the service.
  • You must notify the operator promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Upload or share content that is illegal, infringing, malicious, or harmful.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, workspaces, or systems.
  • Disrupt or interfere with the integrity or performance of the service.
  • Reverse engineer or abuse the service in a way that degrades it for others.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload. You grant us only the limited rights necessary to store, process, and display your content in order to operate the service for you and the workspaces you collaborate in. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload.

5. AI features

The optional AI assistant is disabled by default. If you choose to enable and use it, your requests are processed by the configured AI provider. You are responsible for the prompts you submit and the way you use AI-generated output. AI output may be inaccurate and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

6. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the service you also acknowledge that policy.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, and we will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Data & privacy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that harms others or the service itself. Upon deletion, the data you own is permanently erased as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Contact

For any questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
